This unit
The Curtiss-Wright CHAMP-AV II SVME-412 is a quad-processor DSP engine for signal and image processing in radar, sonar, and signal intelligence systems. It combines four PowerPC MPC7410 processors running at 500 MHz with QuadFlow architecture optimized for high-bandwidth embedded compute. The non-blocking PCI crossbar delivers 2 Gbytes/sec peak on-card throughput, while dual 528 Mbyte/sec inter-processor links enable efficient multi-core workload distribution. Each processor node includes 128–256 Mbytes of dedicated SDRAM and 32 Mbytes of Flash, plus dual 64-bit, 66 MHz PCI interfaces supporting PMC expansion modules. VMEbus integration via Universe II, 10/100BaseTx Ethernet, and low-latency inter-processor messaging hardware reduce system latency. Multi-board time-stamping synchronization and hardware interrupt routing support large multi-slot configurations. VSIPL and IXLIBS-AV DSP libraries, TimeSys Linux SDK, and IPC software accelerate development. Switch Fabric PMC support with DY4's StarLink interconnect - based on StarFabric technology - enables card-to-card bandwidth scaling for multi-processor systems.

Curtiss-Wright / DY-4 CHAMP-AV II / SVME-412 — Repair & Calibration Service
Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Curtiss-Wright / DY-4 CHAMP-AV II / SVME-412. Calibration covers analog input channel accuracy and offset at all gain settings, analog output accuracy, digital I/O logic threshold verification, sample rate and timing accuracy, and trigger and synchronization bus functional verification. NI CompactRIO and PXI chassis also undergo backplane trigger line integrity check.. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.
Common Curtiss-Wright / DY-4 CHAMP-AV II / SVME-412 faults: power supply failure (cRIO-9073/9074), C-series slot connector wear, PXI chassis fan failure, GPIB interface failure on VXI controllers, BIOS/EEPROM corruption. NI CompactRIO most common faults are power supply failure on older cRIO-9073/9074 chassis and C-series module slot connector wear from repeated hot-swap cycles. PXI chassis fan failure is the most common wear item — chassis fans are field-replaceable. VXI embedded controllers most commonly develop EEPROM corruption and GPIB interface failure.
