The Keysight E8257D PSG is a microwave signal generator delivering output power, metrology-grade level accuracy, and superior phase noise performance across frequencies up to 67 GHz. This fully-synthesized source supports pulse, FM, and ΦM modulation, making it suitable for demanding RF and microwave test environments requiring precision frequency and level control. Frequency extension capabilities expand the E8257D into the millimeter-wave and terahertz bands through Virginia Diodes, Inc. (VDI) SGX modules.


These amplifier/multiplier chain (AMC) extensions preserve the accuracy and resolution of the base unit while enabling test signal generation up to 1.1 THz.
