This unit

The EXFO EPM-100 is a handheld optical power meter for measuring optical power in fiber optic systems at 850 nm wavelength. It delivers precise power measurements from +10 dBm down to −60 dBm with ±5% ± 10 nW uncertainty and 0.01 dB resolution. The meter supports multiple measurement units (dB, dBm, W) and features a reference function for direct loss calculations. Its universal push-pull interface accepts interchangeable connector adapters

FC, ST, SC, and LC - enabling rapid field connections. The EPM-100 runs on three AA batteries for approximately 300 hours of operation and reaches full specification accuracy after a 15-minute warm-up. Housed in a compact form factor measuring 185 mm × 100 mm × 55 mm and weighing 0.4 kg, it operates across −10 °C to 50 °C and handles 0–95% relative humidity without condensation. The meter integrates with EXFO's ELS-100 Light Source for attenuation measurements and suits LAN/WAN fiber-optic network testing and troubleshooting.
