This unit

The Kikusui PAD35 is a variable DC regulated power supply engineered for research, development, industrial testing, and manufacturing applications. This benchtop/rack-mountable unit delivers 0–35 VDC output with selectable current ratings from 5 A to 200 A, depending on model. It operates in constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC) modes with thyristor preregulation and power transistor series regulation, yielding low harmonic distortion and high efficiency. Input options include 120 VAC ±10% (50/60 Hz) or dual-voltage 120/240 VAC ±10% configurations. The PAD35 achieves line regulation of 0.005% and load regulation of 0.005%, with exceptional temperature stability at 50 ppm/°C and superior aging drift characteristics. A wide-band error amplifier enables fast transient response and tight frequency control. The choke input circuit reduces AC line waveform distortion and improves power factor, particularly at low output voltages. Front-panel voltage adjustment spans 0 V to rated output via 10-turn potentiometer; constant current uses coarse and fine adjustment knobs. Standard overvoltage protection (OVP) is adjustable from the front panel, with optional high-speed thyristor crowbar protection available for narrow-tolerance loads. Integrated overcurrent detection, overheating protection, and thermal management via forced air cooling safeguard the supply and connected equipment. Low ripple and noise output ensures clean power delivery to sensitive devices. Japanese manufacturing.
