This unit

The Dynamic Engineering PCI3IP is a 3-slot PCI IndustryPack (IP) carrier card that integrates IndustryPack modules into PCI-based systems. It delivers data acquisition, control, and communication functionality through a half-length PCI interface operating at 32-bit, 33 MHz. Each of the three IP positions supports independent clock selection (8 MHz or 32 MHz) and accepts byte, word, and 32-bit long word accesses. The card supplies fused, filtered power to IP modules: 5V at 2A per fuse, ±12V at 1.1A per fuse, with individual power planes isolating each slot. Programmable VPWR accommodates 3.3V or 5V IP interfaces with status indication. Dual interrupt lines per IP module route through an on-board FPGA to the PCI bus, with per-slot masking and status registers. A watch-dog timer protects against PCI bus hangs. On-board features include eight user-configurable LEDs, an 8-bit DIP switch readable via register, local reset switch, and ribbon cable bezel cutout compatible with IP-Debug-Bus. The card uses industry standard 50-pin box header connectors in right-angle through-bezel or vertical mount configurations. Extended industrial temperature components are standard. VITA 4 - 1995 compliant.

Dynamic Engineering PCI3IP — Repair & Calibration Service

Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Dynamic Engineering PCI3IP. Calibration covers analog input channel accuracy and offset at all gain settings, analog output accuracy, digital I/O logic threshold verification, sample rate and timing accuracy, and trigger and synchronization bus functional verification. NI CompactRIO and PXI chassis also undergo backplane trigger line integrity check.. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.

Common Dynamic Engineering PCI3IP faults: power supply failure (cRIO-9073/9074), C-series slot connector wear, PXI chassis fan failure, GPIB interface failure on VXI controllers, BIOS/EEPROM corruption. NI CompactRIO most common faults are power supply failure on older cRIO-9073/9074 chassis and C-series module slot connector wear from repeated hot-swap cycles. PXI chassis fan failure is the most common wear item — chassis fans are field-replaceable. VXI embedded controllers most commonly develop EEPROM corruption and GPIB interface failure.
