The Advantest R5373P is a microwave frequency counter designed for precision measurement across 10 mHz to 27 GHz. It employs digital TRAHET technology - combining transfer and heterodyne techniques - to deliver high sensitivity and exceptional resolution. The instrument measures frequency, period, time interval, pulse width (minimum 0.5 µs), pulse repetition frequency (10 Hz to 5 MHz), carrier frequency of pulse-modulated signals, and FM deviation.


Resolution reaches 1 Hz in 1 second for microwave frequencies, with decade-selectable settings from 0.1 Hz to 10 MHz and maximum resolution to 0.1 mHz in specific modes. Timebase stability is 1.5 ppm, with accuracy of ±1 count plus time base accuracy. Measurement speed reaches 1000 measurements per second.
