The Abaco Systems VMIVME-1182-000 is a 64-channel optically isolated digital input module for VMEbus systems that detects, time-tags, and counts Changes of State (COS) across each input channel. Built on intelligent per-channel control architecture, the module enables independent configuration of COS detection modes, Sequence of Events (SOE) acquisition, pulse accumulation, debounce timing, and time tagging. Each channel operates independently with software-selectable edge detection (rising, falling, or any edge) and programmable debounce windows from 1.25 ms to 1.024 s.
The module latches input signals every 1.0 ms with a minimum detectable pulse width of 2 ms and stores time-tagged COS events in dual-buffer onboard memory for SOE analysis. Pulse accumulators count up to 65,535 events per channel with relative time tags accurate to 65,535 ms. Programmable VME interrupts fire on user-selected levels when COS events occur.
Input isolation reaches 1,500 VDC or 1,100 VRMS channel-to-channel and channel-to-VMEbus. The module accepts 5 to 250 VDC or 4 to 240 VAC signals in voltage-sensing mode, and supports contact-sensing applications. VME data transfers operate at 8, 16, or 32 bits with short, standard, supervisory, and nonprivileged access modes.
Form factor is VME 6U. UIOC compatible. Complies with ANSI/IEEE STD C37.90.1-1989 surge protection when used with a companion suppression panel such as the VMIVME-3459.
