Acromag / Xembedded / Xycom XVME-230 Intelligent Counter Module

The Acromag XVME-230 is an intelligent counter module for VMEbus systems that delivers independent counting and timing measurement across 16 channels with up to 5 MHz counting rates. Built around a 10 MHz 68000 microprocessor with on-board intelligence, the module autonomously handles time-consuming counting functions while reducing host processor overhead. Four programmable counting circuits manage up to 16 simultaneous counting functions through configurable CLOCK and GATE inputs.

The Xycom Automation intelligent I/O kernel coordinates measurement and control operations via the VMEbus with interrupt support. Commands are issued through the PC protocol to eight logical channels, with real-time data transfer enabling responsive process control and data acquisition in industrial automation environments.
