This unit

The Astronics/EADS/Racal 1260-35 is a high-density scanner/multiplexer module delivering flexible signal routing for aerospace, defense, and test applications. This C-size VXIbus module supports ten configurable multiplexer architectures ranging from 1×96 two-wire to 1×192 one-wire arrangements, optimize channel count against wire configuration. Each channel handles up to 1 A at 250 VDC or VAC rms, with 30 W DC or 62.5 VA AC maximum switchable power. Bandwidth reaches 50 MHz general operation, with >15 MHz (−3 dB) in 1×48 configuration. The module exhibits exceptional signal integrity: <600 pF open-channel capacitance, <0.1 dB insertion loss at 100 kHz (1×6 config), and 15 MHz (−3 dB) for 1×48 configuration

Open Channel Capacitance: <600 pF

Insertion Loss: <0.1 dB at 100 kHz (1×6 configuration)

Crosstalk: <−90 dB at 100 kHz

Power Supply: +5 V at 0.4 A (2.8 A with Option 01)

Cooling: 4.0 l/s airflow required

Key Features

Ten user-selectable multiplexer configurations optimize density versus wire count

Low thermal offset and exceptional crosstalk isolation (<−90 dB)

Relay coil current monitoring for closed-loop confidence checking

Dual control options: message-based (Option 01) or message/register hybrid (Option 01T)

Two connector variants: IDC ribbon or crimp pin user interfaces

Typical Applications

Aerospace and defense test benches

Multi-channel signal routing and scanning

Mixed-signal measurement systems

Automated test equipment (ATE) platforms

Compatibility & Integration Designed for VXIbus platforms. Requires adjacent smart card module (Option 01 or Option 01T) for control. Compatible with Racal Instruments legacy systems.
