This unit

The Fluke 1587/MDT FC Advanced Motor and Drive Troubleshooting Kit combines digital insulation testing with full-function multimetry in a single portable instrument. Designed for engineers and technicians diagnosing electric motors and variable frequency drive systems, this kit delivers insulation resistance measurement from 0.01 MΩ to 2 GΩ across five selectable test voltages, plus comprehensive DMM capabilities including AC/DC voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, temperature, and current measurement. The 1587 FC integrates a VFD low-pass filter for accurate readings in drive environments, live circuit detection that inhibits testing above 30 V terminal voltage, and PI/DAR measurements with TrendIt™ trending capability.

Auto-discharge of capacitive voltage completes in less than 0.5 seconds for loads up to 1 μF. The included i400 AC current clamp measures 1 A to 400 A AC with 1 mA/Amp output and accepts conductors up to 32 mm diameter.
