This unit

The Keysight (Agilent) 8167A is an O-band tunable laser source engineered for precise optical wavelength selection and stable light output across the 1280–1330 nm window. Designed for optical component characterization, device testing, and photonics research, this instrument delivers absolute wavelength accuracy better than ±0.1 nm with 0.001 nm resolution. Single-mode output with side-mode suppression ensures clean spectral performance for characterizing filters, amplifiers, transceivers, and other optical devices operating in the 1300 nm transmission window.

The unit features HPIB control, LCD display, and optional built-in variable attenuator capability. NIST-traceable calibration and ISO 9001 manufacturing certification provide metrological confidence for telecommunications and photonics applications.
