This repair and service evaluation package covers eight HP/Agilent spectrum analyzer models spanning portable RF analysis to microwave measurement platforms. The portfolio includes the 8570A (10 MHz to 22 GHz), 8590A (10 kHz to 1.8 GHz), 8590B (10 kHz to 1.8 GHz), 8590D (9 kHz to 1.8 GHz), 8590E (9 kHz to 1.8 GHz at 50 Ω), 8590L (9 kHz to 1.8 GHz), 8591A, and 8591C models.

Technical Specifications

Frequency coverage varies by model. The 8570A operates from 10 MHz to 22 GHz with sweep times from 2 µs to 10 seconds and RBW from 100 Hz to 3 MHz (1/3/10 selectable steps). Lower-frequency models (8590A, 8590B, 8590D, 8590L) cover 9–10 kHz to 1.8 GHz with RBW selectable from 1 kHz to 3 MHz, or 3 kHz to 3 MHz on the 8590D. The 8590E series extends to 22 GHz and optionally to 26.5 GHz, with RBW from 30 Hz to 3 MHz plus EMI bandwidths at 9 kHz and 120 kHz (6 dB). Option 130 adds 30 Hz, 100 Hz, 300 Hz (3 dB), and 200 Hz (6 dB) EMI. Amplitude range across mid-range models is −115 dBm to +30 dBm. The 8570A displays an average noise level from −113 dBm to −90 dBm. The 8590D provides frequency accuracy of +1% of span + 20% of RBW + 100 Hz. The 8590L offers marker count accuracy of ±7.6 kHz at 1 GHz.
