This unit

The Rohde & Schwarz APN62 is a synthesized audio frequency generator delivering precise signal generation across 1 Hz to 260 kHz with crystal accuracy and phase-continuous tuning. Output ranges from 50 µV to 20 Vrms with adjustable source impedance (10 Ω to 640 Ω), supporting balanced floating, balanced grounded, and unbalanced grounded configurations. The integrated output transformer spans 20 Hz to 25 kHz into 2 kΩ.


Distortion remains below 0.05% across the audio band to 20 kHz and below 0.1% to 100 kHz, with typical performance of −80 dBc to 20 kHz. Frequency resolution reaches 0.1 Hz up to 20 kHz, then 1 Hz to 260 kHz. The APN62 generates sine, square, triangle, and sawtooth waveforms with independent sweep functions - frequency sweep, level sweep over 20 dB, and linear or logarithmic modes.


Output levels display in V, dBV, dBu, or dBm with ±1.0 dB flatness and <1.2 dB attenuator error.
