This unit
The Agilent/Keysight E6000C is a compact Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) engineered for installation, commissioning, and fault location in fiber optic networks. Its award-winning user interface and high measurement performance enable rapid characterization of multiple fiber links and rapid isolation of faults during maintenance operations. The instrument detects both reflective and non-reflective events with configurable thresholds, supports fiber types from single-mode through 50 µm graded index multimode, and operates across five calibrated wavelengths from 850 nm to 1625 nm.
Measuring up to 100 events per trace, the E6000C delivers reflectance measurements at ± 2.0 dB typical accuracy.

Agilent / Keysight E6000C — Repair & Calibration Service
Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Agilent / Keysight E6000C. Calibration covers distance accuracy verified against a calibrated fiber length reference, event loss measurement accuracy at splice and connector events, dead zone (event and attenuation) at rated pulse width, dynamic range verification at 1310 nm and 1550 nm, backscatter coefficient calibration, and return loss measurement accuracy. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.
Common Agilent / Keysight E6000C faults: optical port connector damage or contamination, battery failure, display damage from field use, module failure on FTB or MTS platforms, calibration drift. Most field OTDRs fail due to physical damage. On modular platforms (EXFO FTB, Viavi MTS), individual module failures are serviced without replacing the entire mainframe. Optical port cleaning resolves many apparent measurement faults before mechanical repair is needed.
Agilent / Keysight E6000C price
This Agilent / Keysight E6000C is listed at $501. Calibration is available separately from $450. Contact us for volume pricing or if you need multiple units.
Agilent / Keysight E6000C calibration cost
NIST-traceable calibration for the Agilent / Keysight E6000C is $450 (standard — pass/fail certificate and calibration sticker) or $650 (full measured data at every test point, reference standards documented, traceability chain included). Calibration for this instrument covers distance accuracy verified against a calibrated fiber length reference, event loss measurement accuracy at splice and connector events, dead zone (event and attenuation) at rated pulse width, dynamic range verification at 1310 nm and 1550 nm, backscatter coefficient calibration, and return loss measurement accuracy. Turnaround is 1 to 3 business days after receipt. See full calibration details →
