This unit

The Fluke Networks OFP2-100-Q OptiFiber Pro Quad OTDR is a optical time domain reflectometer for characterizing and troubleshooting optical fiber networks in data centers, enterprise, outside plant, and FTTx environments. Operating across four wavelengths - 850 nm and 1300 nm for multimode fiber, 1310 nm and 1550 nm for single-mode fiber - this quad OTDR module delivers dynamic range up to 32 dB with event dead zones as low as 0.5 m for multimode and attenuation dead zones as low as 2.5 m (MM) and 3.6 m (SM). Trace acquisition completes in as little as 2 seconds per wavelength using Quick Test mode. The instrument integrates into the Versiv™ platform, providing unified testing across fiber and copper media with automated analysis, gesture-based Taptive™ touchscreen control, and advanced reporting via LinkWare™ software and cloud-compatible LinkWare™ Live. SmartLoop™ bidirectional testing, DataCenter OTDR mode, integrated Visual Fault Locator, and FiberInspect Pro end-face inspection with automated PASS/FAIL grading address fault detection, loss measurement, and event characterization across connectors, splices, bends, and splitters. Field technicians benefit from ProjX™ project management, intuitive workflows, and LinkWare™ automated reporting. The Versiv mainframe couples with the OptiFiber Pro Quad module, launch cables (50 µm MM and 9 µm SM), LC and SC/SC adapters, and inspection kit accessories for immediate deployment.

Fluke Networks OFP2-100-Q — Repair & Calibration Service

Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Fluke Networks OFP2-100-Q. Calibration covers distance accuracy verified against a calibrated fiber length reference, event loss measurement accuracy at splice and connector events, dead zone (event and attenuation) at rated pulse width, dynamic range verification at 1310 nm and 1550 nm, backscatter coefficient calibration, and return loss measurement accuracy. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.

Standard Cal
$450
Pass/fail cert + NIST sticker
Cal with Data
$650
Full NIST cert with measured values

Common Fluke Networks OFP2-100-Q faults: optical port connector damage or contamination, battery failure, display damage from field use, module failure on FTB or MTS platforms, calibration drift. Most field OTDRs fail due to physical damage. On modular platforms (EXFO FTB, Viavi MTS), individual module failures are serviced without replacing the entire mainframe. Optical port cleaning resolves many apparent measurement faults before mechanical repair is needed.
