This unit

The DynamicSignals/Kinetic Systems V266-ZA21 is a 64-channel, 16-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter module engineered for VXIbus systems. This C-sized, single-width module delivers independent voltage outputs across 64 channels, providing high-density analog signal generation for precision instrumentation and test applications requiring deterministic waveform control.

Technical Specifications Electrical Performance

64 independent analog output channels

16-bit resolution

Output range: 0 V to +10 V at connector J3

Power consumption: +5 V at 1850 mA, +24 V at 850 mA, −24 V at 10 mA

Thermal management: 10 CFM airflow requirement VXIbus Interface

C-sized VXIbus module (single-width)

Logical Address range: C000₁₆ to FFC0₁₆; default factory address is 255

User-selectable addressing via address switches or Logical Address Register

Supports integration into multi-device VXIbus systems (up to 255 devices, excluding Slot 0) Connectors & Test Access

Two 68-position SCSI-II type receptacle connectors (J3 and J4)

Voltage outputs available at J3

Dedicated test points (+/−) for Channel 1 voltage output monitoring

Key Features

High-channel-count architecture enables complex multi-signal generation in compact form factor

Independent channel control supports diverse waveform synthesis and signal conditioning tasks

User-configurable logical addressing simplifies VXIbus system integration

Modular design permits installation in any available C-sized VXIbus mainframe slot (except Slot 0)

Failed LED indicator provides real-time module status and self-test diagnostics

Compatibility & Integration The V266-ZA21 integrates into C-sized VXIbus mainframes as a standard peripheral module. Installation requires an available mainframe slot, positive +5 V and ±24 V power rails, and 10 CFM forced-air cooling. Logical address assignment is configurable to avoid conflicts in multi-module systems. The module occupies a single VXIbus slot and functions as one of up to 255 addressable devices within a VXIbus architecture.
