This unit
The Keithley 195 2 Channel System DMM is a 5.5-digit digital multimeter engineered for precision DC and AC measurements across research, development, and manufacturing environments. This fully programmable instrument delivers measurement capabilities spanning DC voltage from 100 nV to 1000 V, resistance from 100 µΩ to 20 MΩ, and DC current from 100 pA to 2 A (with optional Model 1950 module). The six-digit LED display updates at rates up to 9 readings/second in full resolution mode, with manual or autoranging at 150 ms per range change.
Technical Specifications DC voltage measurements achieve ±(0.05% + 1 digit) accuracy with input impedance exceeding 1 GΩ. Resistance measurements use automatic 2-terminal and 4-terminal switching across a 100 µΩ to 20 MΩ range with ±(0.2% + 1 digit) accuracy. AC voltage, AC current, and temperature measurement capabilities are available with the optional Model 1950 module, extending ranges to 700 V AC, 2 A AC, and -220°C to +630°C respectively. Temperature measurements via platinum RTD (3-wire or 4-wire) achieve ±(0.1% + 2°C) accuracy. Autoranging operates at 150 ms per range change on DC voltage. Reading rates scale from 76 readings/second at 3½ digits to 9 readings/second at full 5½-digit resolution. The instrument accepts ±360 V peak or ±250 V RMS maximum input on resistance measurements.
Key Features
IEEE-488 standard interface for system integration and remote programming
Trigger input via digital connector
Programmable range, function, integration period, averaging, and display formats
Talk-Only and Addressable address modes
100-reading storage capability
Temperature coefficient: less than ±(0.1 × applicable accuracy)/°C across 0°–18°C and 28°–50°C
Power consumption: 24 VA maximum; warmup time 1 hour to rated accuracy
Compatibility & Integration Standard 105–125 V or 210–250 V AC operation (50–400 Hz); alternative 90–110 V and 180–220 V versions available. The IEEE-488 interface enables integration into larger measurement systems with transmission of readings to peripheral instrumentation.

Keithley 195 — Repair & Calibration Service
Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Keithley 195. Calibration covers DC voltage accuracy at all ranges, AC voltage (True RMS) accuracy at 50 Hz, 1 kHz, and 10 kHz, DC current accuracy, resistance accuracy at all decade ranges, frequency accuracy, and diode test voltage. Fluke 87V and 289 also include capacitance and temperature calibration.. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.
Common Keithley 195 faults: blown input fuse, worn input jacks, display segment failure, relay contact wear on bench DMMs. Common faults include worn input jacks (banana socket contact wear on the mA and COM terminals), blown input fuses (especially the 440 mA HRC fuse), and display segment failures. Keithley 2000/2001/2002 bench DMMs commonly develop relay contact wear affecting resistance accuracy after extended service.
