The instrument features 1 Hz frequency resolution, ±0.75 dB output flatness, and comprehensive modulation capabilities including AM, FM, PM, FSK, PSK, pulse, and sweep modes. Its digitally synthesized internal modulation source generates sinusoidal, square, triangular, and pulse waveforms at rates from 0.1 Hz to 200 kHz, with AM depths to 99.9% and distortion below 1.5% at 1 kHz. Frequency stability holds ±(5 ppm + 5 Hz) per day and per year. External reference inputs accept 1, 2, 5, or 10 MHz signals at ±10 ppm with 0.2 to 2.0 Vrms into 50 Ω impedance.
