This unit

The Keysight E1346A is a B-size, 1-slot VXI module engineered for high-speed data acquisition and analog switching in precision test environments. It has 48 single-ended analog input channels with dedicated low and guard terminals, enabling flexible signal routing and isolation. Reed relays deliver break-before-make switching with 10^8 operations at no load and 10^7 operations at rated load.

The module scans at 600 channels/second and maintains open relay states during power down and power up for safety-critical applications.

Technical Specifications

  • Module Type: Register-based VXI, B-size, 1-slot form factor

  • Channels: 48 single-ended analog inputs plus 1 low and 1 guard terminal

  • Relay Technology: Reed relays with break-before-make switching action

  • Relay Life: 10^8 operations (no load); 10^7 operations (rated load)

  • Scanning Rate: 600 channels/second typical

  • Terminal Compatibility: 16–26 AWG wire (1.5, 1.2, 0.9, 0.75, 0.5 mm)

  • Power States: Relays open on power down and power up

Key Features

  • Configurable low/guard isolation via removable factory-installed jumper

  • Analog bus connector on faceplate for direct integration with DMMs and multiplexers

  • Screw terminal block interface (ordered separately)

  • Shared switch card topology with E1343A, E1345A, E1347A, E1355A, and E1356A modules

  • Matrix configuration determined by terminal block selection

Typical Applications

  • Multi-channel analog signal acquisition

  • High-speed data logging and test automation

  • Signal routing and switching in instrumentation systems

  • Automated test equipment (ATE) environments requiring fast channel scanning

Compatibility & Integration The E1346A operates in B-size VXI mainframes (Agilent E1300B, E1301B) and C-size mainframes with the E1403C active adapter. Analog bus connectivity supports direct measurement with Keysight E1326B and E1411B DMMs, as well as slot-adjacent multiplexer modules. External wiring connects via optional screw terminal blocks.

Agilent / Keysight E1346A — Repair & Calibration Service

Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Agilent / Keysight E1346A. Calibration covers all module-specific parameters per manufacturer datasheet, output accuracy and linearity, frequency accuracy, and VXI register and trigger bus compliance. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.
