This unit
The Keysight E1433B is an 8-channel, 16-bit digitizer module with onboard DSP designed for VXIbus systems. It delivers 196 kSa/s per channel sampling rate and integrates transducer signal conditioning, anti-alias filtering, and real-time measurement computation into a single C-size VXI module. Each channel supports independent range, differential/single-ended, and AC/DC coupling configuration, eliminating the need for external signal conditioning in many applications.
Technical Specifications
Channels: 8 independent inputs
Resolution: 16-bit
Sampling Rate: 196,608 Sa/s per channel maximum
Memory: 4 MB RAM standard; up to 32 MB available
DSP: Onboard processor for real-time data processing and analysis
Form Factor: C-size, single-wide VXI module (1-slot)
Input Signal Conditioning: Integrated transducer conditioning and anti-alias protection
Channel Configuration: Independent settings per channel - range, coupling mode (AC/DC), and input type (differential/single-ended)
Key Features
Real-time high-speed measurement computation on-module
Compatible with external breakout boxes for voltage, IEPE, microphone, and piezoelectric charge transducers
Option 1D1 enables real-time octave analysis across all eight channels simultaneously (3.15 Hz to 20 kHz third-octave, 4 Hz to 16 kHz full-octave)
Optional tachometer input (Option AYF) and local bus interface (Option UGV)
Optional arbitrary source module (Option 1D4)
Typical Applications Data acquisition systems requiring simultaneous multi-channel sampling, transducer signal analysis, and onboard DSP computation. Applications include structural health monitoring, vibration analysis, acoustic measurement, and real-time waveform processing in VXI-based test environments.
Compatibility & Integration Designed for VXIbus systems. Requires external breakout boxes for transducer interfacing. Simplifies system integration by consolidating signal conditioning, filtering, digitization, and computation into a single module.
