This unit

The Keysight E1460A is a C-size, 1-slot VXI relay multiplexer delivering high-density signal routing for automated test systems. Built around latching armature switches, this register-based module configures into multiple topologies: 64 two-wire, 32 three-wire, 32 four-wire, or 128 single-ended channels. Configuration occurs via SCPI commands or jumper settings on the terminal card, enabling flexible deployment across wire harness testing, cable validation, semiconductor characterization, and PCB diagnostics.

Technical Specifications

  • Switch Architecture: Eight banks of eight Hi and Lo switches with independent commons; seven programmable control switches; six sets of wire jumpers

  • Closed Channel Resistance: < 1.5 Ω (initial), < 3.5 Ω (end of life)

  • Thermal Offset: 7 µV typical per channel (differential Hi-Lo)

  • Maximum Voltage: 220 Vdc or 250 V rms (any terminal to any other terminal or chassis)

  • Maximum Current: 1 A dc/ac rms below 30 Vdc; 0.3 A dc/ac rms below 133 Vdc (per channel common, non-inductive)
