This unit
The Agilent/Keysight N1924A is a wideband power sensor that delivers precise peak and average power measurements across 50 MHz to 40 GHz. Designed specifically for the Keysight 8990B Peak Power Analyzer, this sensor combines a wide dynamic range of −35 dBm to +20 dBm with fast temporal resolution - rise and fall times of ≤3 ns at frequencies ≥500 MHz - enabling detailed characterization of modulated and pulsed signals. The N1924A pioneered integrated zero and calibration functionality by embedding a DC reference source and switching circuits directly into the sensor.
This eliminates external calibration connections, reducing connector wear, test time, and measurement uncertainty. Calibration factors, linearity, temperature, and bandwidth correction data are stored in onboard EEPROM, ensuring traceability without external sources.
