Built on a 66 MHz PCI interface engine with independent Dual Universal Serial Controllers per channel, the card supports seven industry-standard protocols - asynchronous, monosync, bisync, SDLC, HDLC, nine-bit, and IEEE 802.3 - across synchronous rates to 10 Mbps and asynchronous rates to 1 Mbps. Each channel includes dedicated 32 kB transmit and receive FIFOs, totaling 256 kB across the card. Multi-protocol transceivers support RS422/RS485 at 10 Mbps, RS423/RS232 at 230 kbps, and V.35 and RS530 interfaces.
