The Abaco Systems/VMIC VMIVME-2536-200 is a 32-channel optically coupled digital I/O board for VMEbus systems. It delivers galvanic isolation between field signals and the VME chassis, eliminating ground loops and protecting circuitry from voltage transients. The board supports field voltages from 5 V to 125 V, user-selectable input/output configurations on byte boundaries, and programmable contact debounce.
All 32 input and 32 output channels feature optical coupling with sustained isolation of 1 kV (field to VMEbus) and pulsed isolation of 3.5 kV. Channel-to-channel isolation reaches 500 V sustained. Built-in diagnostics support system reliability in industrial automation, process control, and data acquisition environments.
