This unit

The Agilent/National Instruments E1482B is a C-size, 1-slot VXIbus Extender module that bridges external controllers to VXI mainframes via MXIbus connectivity. This register-based module enables multiple VXI mainframes to operate as a unified system and supports daisy-chain configurations for multi-mainframe test architectures. The E1482B includes Interrupt and Timing Extension (INTX) functionality, delivering extended CLK10, programmable trigger lines, seven VXIbus interrupt lines, and system control signal extensions (SYSFAIL*, ACFAIL*, SYSRESET*).

Technical Specifications

  • Form Factor: C-size, 1-slot VXI module

  • Interface: MXIbus with INTX PCB assembly

  • Data Transfer Rate (MXIbus): 2.0 MB/s (16-bit), 4.0 MB/s (32-bit)

  • MXIbus Configuration: Supports up to 8 devices per link; maximum cable length 20 meters

  • INTX Cable Bus: RS-485 transceivers; 10 Mbaud maximum data rate at distances up to 12 meters; multi-point support for up to 32 drivers/receivers

  • Integrated Block Mode: data transfer capability
