This unit
The Astronics / EADS / Racal 1260-45A is a C-size VXIbus high-density switch matrix module engineered for complex signal routing in automated test systems. This single-slot unit delivers eleven factory-configurable matrix arrangements - from four 4x16 matrices to a single 16x16 matrix - enabling flexible signal path management within a single chassis. The module switches signals up to 1 A and 250 VDC, with bandwidth performance ranging from 25 MHz (4x16, 4x32 configurations) to 20 MHz (4x64 configuration). Guard relays at row inputs provide non-latching behavior with automatic disconnect on power loss, protecting the Unit Under Test. Jumper-selectable bypass enables full latching relay operation for communication applications requiring maintained signal paths. ## Technical Specifications • Form Factor: C-size, single-slot VXIbus module • Matrix Configurations: Eleven selectable arrangements including four 4x16, two 8x16, two 4x32, one 8x32, one 4x64, one 16x16, and hybrid combinations (two 4x16 + one 8x16, two 4x16 + one 4x32) • Switching Voltage: Up to 250 VDC or 300 VDC/ACrms maximum • Switching Current: Up to 1 A DC or ACrms per channel • Bandwidth (−3 dB): 25 MHz (4x16, 4x32); 20 MHz (4x64) • Channel Capacitance: <50 pF (open); <80 pF (closed) • Relay Type: Non-latching guard relays with jumper-selectable latching configuration • Mechanical Operations Rating: 10,000,000 cycles ## Key Features • Guard relays at row inputs revert to open state on power loss, disconnecting signal paths from UUT • Configurable via factory settings, internal jumpers, and external cabling • External expansion capability for larger matrices within single chassis • Low closed-channel capacitance supports high-frequency signal integrity ## Interfaces • VXIbus compliant • Compatible with Option 01 (native command set) and Option 01T (SCPI and register-based control) • IDC ribbon cable or crimp discrete wire connectors available ## Physical Characteristics • Weight: 3.07 lb (1.38 kg) without Option 01
