This unit

The Agilent/Keysight 3403C is a True RMS voltmeter engineered for precision AC and DC voltage measurements across frequencies from DC to 100 MHz. It excels at characterizing complex signals - noise, multiplexed waveforms, modulated carriers, and signals with significant harmonic content - where True RMS accuracy is essential. Though discontinued, the instrument remains valuable for laboratory and field applications demanding reliable broadband voltage analysis.

Common Agilent / Keysight 3403C faults: blown input fuse, worn input jacks, display segment failure, relay contact wear on bench DMMs. Common faults include worn input jacks (banana socket contact wear on the mA and COM terminals), blown input fuses (especially the 440 mA HRC fuse), and display segment failures. Keithley 2000/2001/2002 bench DMMs commonly develop relay contact wear affecting resistance accuracy after extended service.
